Come to the Party!
GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD MUSIC, GOOD NEWS, Where: GRACE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST When: Every Sunday! Beginning at 8:00AM until 9:30AM, we offer a continental fellowship breakfast, where you’ll find GOOD FRIENDS to fellowship with while you eat GOOD FOOD. We have a variety of fruit drinks, milk, chocolate drinks, hugs, fresh coffee, a variety of bottled Starbucks Frappuccinos, a variety of cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, pastries, Nutri-grain fruit bars and more. Then we offer a contemporary service at 8:30AM in the chapel, where casual dress is not only acceptable but also expected. There you can help provide GOOD MUSIC as you sing along with contemporary music videos and hear the GOOD NEWS of Pastor Jim’s message. There is also a children’s corner, where the children are invited to sit with Pastor Jim to hear a message just for them. After that, during the summer at 9:30, Pastor Jim leads us in the discussion of Phillip Yancey’s book, “The Jesus I Never Knew” which is also held in the chapel with more GOOD FRIENDS. Finally, we have our traditional service at 10:35 in the sanctuary, where Pastor Jim presents a different message including even more GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD MUSIC, and GOOD NEWS. Special music will be presented on various Sundays during the summer, not forgetting our talented organist Susan’s Alsip/Lawson’s magic fingers tickling the ivories on the organ and piano. God blesses you with 168 hours of life every week. If you come at 8:00 for the breakfast and stay for all that is offered, you would have spent less that 1.5% of your week, strengthening your faith, thanking God for another week and maybe even enjoying the party. Remember if you think getting up early on Sunday is hard, TRY RISING FROM THE DEAD! Get up early and enjoy the party! |
